Our Aim, Goal and Principles

School's aim: To prepare the atmosphere to grow up Vefa high school students who depends on national and moral values and who are bilingual, successful and productive and can communicate with contemporary world and had upper class education.


Social Activities

The social activities are organized by a committee and various students clubs. In 2006-2007 Educational year, currently active students clubs are indicated below;
Culture and Literature, Publication and Cinema, Protection from Drug Addiction and Green Crescent, Civil Defence, Activities in Foreign Languages, Information Technologies, Science and technology, Environment and Conscious Consumer, Chess, Sports, Art and Cultural Heritage Protection, Music, Trips and Tourism, History, Photography, Philosophy, Poem and Theatre, Social Assistance and Solidarity.

In 2006-2007 Educational year, Vefa High School students took part in the competitions, which were organised by the directorate of National Education in Eminönü Province. They took the first place in composition, reading aloud Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s poems, reading aloud National Anthem, debate, hess, Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball and Basketball categories. Took the second place in Knowledge and Culture competition. In addition to the national formal bairams, presentations about Atatürk, Mevlana, Mehmet Akif Ersoy and Algerian Genocide of French were done. Some programmes were prepared about “İstiklal Marşı’nın Kabulü” and “Çanakkale Victory”. Furthermore some social activities were organised for students, parents and teachers.

2006-2007

  • MEF Science Olympics / Biology category/ First place in Turkey- Elif Baş and Demet Uçan.

Different Applications
at Education

Class Family Union: The union consists of at least three people who are chosen at the beginning of the educational first term .Especially it contributes the solutions of the problems which occurs in the classroom. It Works with the school family union in an accord.

Teachers' Education: The school provides in service training opportunities for the teachers with the universities corporations at branches and at the level of pedagogic formation.

Guiding guardian of the students: It consists of activities which was given by the experts with the supports of the school family union and leadership service about “young and family relationship and teenagers problems, adolescence problems” for informing the guardian of the students.

The best success scholarship: The students who came first, second ,or third at success in lessons are given scholarship by Vefa unions.

Guardian's appreciation letter:
It is given to the parents whose children are thought to be a model because of their behaviours and their appearance at the end of the term.

Social aids: Books, clothes, school service, lunch and educational scholarship are given to the poor students by Vefa high school educational charity, Vefa associations, school family unions and some charitable people. Educational scholarship is given to twelve Vefa high school graduates and sixty Vefa high school students.
