Our Aim, Goal and Principles
School's aim: To prepare the atmosphere to grow up Vefa high school students who depends on national and moral values and who are bilingual, successful and productive and can communicate with contemporary world and had upper class education.
Physical Condition
Vefa Anatolian High School provides training-education on an area in the district of Eminönü, quarter Şehzadebaşı, Kalendarhane, Dedeefendi street, Nr. 5, section 165 of the large map, 950 island, 17 plot of land, consisting of 4481 square metres. On 2000 square metres of this area, the school buildings are located, and 2500 square metres are garden. The school buildings consist of one boarding-house, the two other being training-educational buildings. Further exist in the schoolyard the Şehzade Mehmet Tabhane-Building (Printing House Building) and the Şehit Ali Paşa Library, which belong to the General Directorate of Foundations. These buildings are dedicated to the training-education services of the school and the Vefa High School Education Foundation carries out the restoration(repair works).
In the new building of school, which is called the Main Building, the following are located: the directorate of the school, the administrative units, 18 classrooms, 3 scientific laboratories, (physics, chemistry, biology), 2 computer laboratories, 1 measuring-evaluating centre, guiding service(counselling commission), art workshop, school museum, archive, conference hall, 2 teachers’ rooms, room for school’s family union, room for social activities committee, and the school canteen and tea cafe(Osman Amca’s Place). The conference hall has a capacity of 400 persons.
In the Mütercim Rüştü Paşa Mansion of the school, which is called the Middle Building, there are 8 classrooms, musical teaching room, cine-vision hall, library, 1 room for vice-director, guiding service(counselling commission), a room for The Head of Foreign Languages Department, and the course centre. The cine-vision hall has a capacity of 70 people, the library 50 people.
In the boarding-house, there is a refectory in the basement floor for 250 people, in the 1st floor there are warehouses, in the 2nd and 3rd floors 10 dormitories, 1 television room and rooms for other teaching personal. The boarding-house has a capacity of 90 students.

- Class Family Union: The union consists of at least three people who are chosen at the beginning of the educational first term .Especially it contributes the solutions of the problems which occurs in the classroom. It Works with the school family union in an accord.

- Teachers' Education: The school provides in service training opportunities for the teachers with the universities corporations at branches and at the level of pedagogic formation.

- Guiding guardian of the students: It consists of activities which was given by the experts with the supports of the school family union and leadership service about “young and family relationship and teenagers problems, adolescence problems” for informing the guardian of the students.

- The best success scholarship: The students who came first, second ,or third at success in lessons are given scholarship by Vefa unions.

- Guardian's appreciation letter:
It is given to the parents whose children are thought to be a model because of their behaviours and their appearance at the end of the term.

- Social aids: Books, clothes, school service, lunch and educational scholarship are given to the poor students by Vefa high school educational charity, Vefa associations, school family unions and some charitable people. Educational scholarship is given to twelve Vefa high school graduates and sixty Vefa high school students.
